OPG Accounts
OPG provides fully functional accounts to meet its customer's banking needs. Using Masterline Reports, customers can access their balances and itemised transaction information electronically.
OPG can offer two main types of account:
Single code accounts
Most OPG customers operate single code accounts that both make payments and receive receipts. Customers are free to operate any number of separate accounts. Form BS243 should be used for initial requests to open OPG accounts, e-mail opgservices@xafinitypaymaster.com for the form..
Multi-code accounts
Multi-code accounts consist of a Main account and a range of sub-accounts operating beneath the Main account. Sub-accounts are used to segregate payments made by different geographical/business locations or for continuation purposes where customers issue over 1 million payable orders a year. Although payments can be made at sub-account level, credits can only be applied and balance information made available at Main account level.
Customers operating single or multi-code accounts can view balances and transactions through Masterline Reports. Masterline provides flexible reporting arrangements e.g. it is possible for an HQ or Central Department to view the single or multi code accounts operated by its discrete business units/subsidiaries or agents, even if it does not operate OPG accounts directly itself.
If an account should become overdrawn OPG will contact the customer immediately who will be expected to bring the account back into credit as soon as possible. Where customers have large numbers of accounts it is sometimes possible with specific OPG and HM Treasury sanction to operate "netting-off" arrangements whereby some accounts can run overdrawn provided the account group as a whole is in credit.
