OPG ELECTRONIC BANKING SERVICES - MASTERLINE
"The Bank on your Desk"

OPG streamlines its customer's payments, receipts and cash management through Masterline - its PC based desktop banking service. Masterline provides secure electronic banking facilities allowing greater control over transactions and ready access to account information, helping to reduce paper and increase accuracy.

OPG aim to provide an increased range of services through Masterline and to pass on the benefits of an end-to-end electronic service to customers. OPG is currently in the process of rolling out Masterline Version 6, with full receipt reference information and a new improved generic export feature. Please email opgservices@xafinitypaymaster.com for forms M002 and M002(a) to register for Masterline.

Services currently available from Masterline Version 5 include:

  • REPORTS

    Providing details on screen of account balance and transaction information, together with forecast details.

    Using the Masterline Reports module you can:

    • Keep a record of receipts and payments on your account
    • View transaction totals and drill down to individual transactions
    • View confirmed and forecast balances, interest rates (where applicable) and all known payment liabilities
    • Search for individual transactions
    • Export information to Excel spreadsheets
    • Read and search the OPG Banking Services User Guide

  • PAYMENTS

    Masterline Reports users do not require any additional software or equipment in order to use Masterline Payments to initiate payments electronically.

    Using the Masterline Payments module you can:

    • Make (same-day or future dated) CHAPS Payments to pre-designated template accounts up to 1 pm.
    • Send Payable Order schedule data to OPG quickly and securely up to 4 pm.
    • Stop Payable Orders where the schedule record was initially supplied to OPG via Masterline up to 4 pm.
    • Make (same day or future dated) OPG Internal Transfer payments up to 4 pm.
    • Make (same day or future dated) Inland Revenue Tax Transfers up to 3 pm.
    • Stop Internal Transfer payments after issue to OPG up to 4pm on the payment due date (3 pm for Tax Transfers).

Convenience:

  • Time saving. You can import payment instructions from your existing accounts package, eliminating the need to re-key individual instructions.
  • Elimination of errors. Transfer Payments can be made from your own designated accounts only, removing the risk of keying errors.
  • Flexibility. Same day settlement up to 4pm for Internal Transfer payment instructions and 1pm for CHAPS template payments.
  • Forward planning. Allows forward input of instructions for payments - days, weeks or months in advance.
  • Work Status Reports. Help prevent initiated payments being overlooked.

Peace of Mind:

  • Payment information is compressed and password protected prior to transmission to ensure efficiency and integrity of data.
  • All access rights and levels are under customer control.
  • There are four levels of access functionality - Administrator, Auditor, Creator and Authoriser.
  • Each user has password controls.
  • You determine how often users change passwords.
  • You set the payment limits for individual Authorisers.
  • Potential duplicate payments are automatically detected and reported.
  • Reconciliation is easy; you know payments have been made.
  • A full audit trail is maintained and can be viewed or printed.
  • Exception reporting is available.

Cost Effectiveness:

  • Payable Order schedule information and Internal Transfer payments are considerably cheaper when sent through Masterline.

Technical Requirements:

Masterline Version 6 runs on standard Windows 95, 98, NT (4.0) and 2000 operating systems on PCs with industry standard specifications (minimum requirement 16MB of RAM, 25MB of available Hard Disk space plus 3MB for each OPG account plus a minimum modem specification of 14.4KB per second.).
